The Newcomer Committee is looking for volunteers to be “mentors” to families who will have new 1st-4th graders at Central School in the 2018-2019 school year. If you are interested or have questions, please email us HERE.
The PTA offers many wonderful ways to be involved at Central with your children and the community.

Calling all fabulous parents! Be a volunteer in the Cafeteria and join your child for lunch! Your kids will love seeing you and it’s easy and fun. Lunch duty is 11:15 to 12:20 and we welcome any and all volunteers.
Volunteering is a great way to see this wonderful resource from the inside, as well as say “Hi” to your child(ren), if you choose a day that corresponds with their class schedule.
Recess is available for volunteers every day and there is no need to sign up and reserve a spot. Just pick a day, check in at the front office, put on the lovely bright green vest, and head out to the blacktop/field/playground!
Art Awareness occurs over several days or weeks. Recent events have included students making traditional pieces of raku pottery, developing an environmental piece of art in the spirit of Christo, and learning about the importance of symbolism and crest during the Renaissance. Most recently, the students created an urban landscape painting.
